It’s a very important type of keyword because you get benefits from long-tail keywords like this.

Low Competition

Long-tail keywords are also low-competition keywords, meaning that you will face less competition than targeting short-tail keywords.

If I search for “credit card”, Google shows me 3,200,000,000 websites are fighting to rank for this specific keyword.

Results are available on google for "what is credit card?" Keyword

But if I search, what are the benefits of having an additional credit card?

See Google showed the data, which means 1,200,000,000 websites are fighting each other to rank for this particular keyword, half of which is “credit card,” a short-tail keyword.

Results are available on google for "what are the benefits of having additional credit card? " Keyword

Long tail keywords have less competition than short tail keywords.

Long Tail Keywords Help to Understand User Intent.

If a user searches for a short-tail keyword or head keyword, it will be difficult to understand the exact intent of google.

What do they want to know? If a user searches for American Express on Google, what do you think the searcher wants to know?

By searching for this keyword on Google, it is difficult to find the exact intent of the user.

Maybe they are looking for information about American Express, like what is American Express and how it works.

Should I have American Express? So, it is difficult for Google to find the exact user intent.

What will Google return if a user searches for American Express? Will Google return results about how to apply for a credit card or the best credit cards in the United States? So on.

It is difficult for Google, but Google returns results for this type of query that are related to American Express articles.

Whether that is what American Express is or how to apply for American Express, or the best credit cards in the USA,

But that is not the case with long tail keywords because long tail keywords provide a clear user intent.

Such as, if the user searches for a keyword, how to apply for American Express?

Everyone might know what a user wants to know by searching this keyword, so how to apply for American Express is a long-tail keyword which helps Google understand which page should show in search results for which query.

Long tail keywords also help bloggers to know the exact user intent behind the query, with the help of which they might provide good value to users.

So the first benefit of targeting long-tail keywords is that it helps you to find exact user intent.

Good Conversion Rate

Long tail keywords give a good conversation rate through which bloggers can make money from targeting these long-tail keywords.

If a user searches for “cricket bat”, which means a user wants to know all about cricket bats or wants to see cricket bat images,

If you want to make money from affiliate marketing through targeting these short-tail keywords or head keywords,

It is very difficult to make money from affiliate marketing because users don’t want to buy cricket bats by searching for “cricket bat”.

If they want to buy a cricket bat, then they might search for the best cricket bats for children under 50 dollars.

These are long-tail keywords, and you can see the clear intent of a user that they want to buy a cricket bat.

Then you can write a review about a cricket bat and can give an affiliate link to your article which is under 50 dollars in cricket bat price.

As a result, long-tail keywords can also generate affiliate revenue.

Why Should You Target Long Tail Keywords

Long tail keywords are important for bloggers, as you know, as you saw above, how long tail keywords can be beneficial for you.

Previously, ranking on Google was not difficult, but it is becoming increasingly difficult.

Now we’re in 2022 and Google changed their algorithm, and I believe it’s not easy to rank for any particular keyword on Google in the beginning.

But long tail keywords might help you rank on the first page of Google in the beginning.

If you target long-tail keywords and you rank for those keywords, you are on the right path.

Pick a long-tail keyword and write a quality article. Some have high search volume and some have low search volume, so you can choose the keyword that is best for ranking.

I suggest if you are a beginner and don’t have authority on Google, pick a long-tail keyword which has 0 search volume and there’s no written article available on Google.

Write 5-10 articles about this type of long-tail keyword with 0 search volume because it’s easy to rank and you get some traffic from it.

Most importantly, this type of keyword helps you build authority fast on Google. After that, you can target 100–1000 search volume keywords.

Before targeting any keyword, you must check their competition, like which types of websites are ranking for a keyword.

If big websites are ranking for a keyword that has a high D and PA, it will be difficult for you to rank for a particular keyword.

If you are a beginner and don’t have authority on Google, you shouldn’t target that type of keyword.

You have to see how many results are shown for a specific keyword. If a large number of websites are fighting with each other for a specific keyword, you shouldn’t target this type of keyword.

What are LSI Keywords?

LSI means Latent Sementic Indexing. LSI is the same as related keywords, which are used with primary keywords to tell Google about this topic, so it is a part of SEO.

When you do SEO, you have to add some related keywords to your topic. Those related keywords are LSI.

For example, I searched for “apple” in the Google search bar.

What do you think? Which apple am I searching for in Google? It’s difficult for you to find which apple I’m searching for because an apple is a phone company, and an apple is also a fruit.

Just like that, it is also difficult for Google to understand, but if I search for “Apple Phone Company,” it’s clear that I am searching for an apple phone, not a fruit, so company and phone are LSI keywords, which help Google to understand the topic.

What about this topic? Just like that, if I write an article about Apple, then I will have to add some LSI keywords like company, phone, etc to understand Google what this content is about to rank at the top of the Google SERP.

If I search for “apple production”, Google will show apple fruit production in countries or states. So “production” is an LSI keyword that aids Google’s understanding.

If I write an article about apple fruit, I should include some LSI keywords such as production, taste, benefits of eating apple, and so on in my article so that Google can understand that I have written an article about apple fruit. which allows me to rank first on Google.

Because I wanted to write about how to do seo (for a website), but Google suggested other keywords,

such as how to do seo in digital marketing, how to do seo for YouTube, or how to do seo for Shopify, which are unrelated to my main keyword, how to do seo (for websites).

I want to write about how to do SEO ( for websites only). Not for YouTube and Shopify. I am not writing about how to do SEO in digital marketing.

So these are not my LSI keywords because they are not similar to my main keyword ” how to do seo”? These keywords will be considered along with other keywords.

What Is The Difference Between Long Tail Keywords and LSI Keywords?

A man is thinking something

Both are different from each other. Long tail keywords are keywords that have more than 3 words, but this is not the case with LSI.

LSI can be a single word or more than one word, such as fruits with apple, software with apple, or apple phone company net worth.

LSI keywords, like long tail keywords, provide a clear user intent, but if I search for “Apple Phone Company Net Worth,” it’s clear that I’m looking for information about Apple Phone.

Phone Company Net Worth are LSI keywords which help Google to understand the topic. So long-tail keywords are a little bit like LSI keywords on the basis of finding user intent.

If you want to appear near the top of search results, you must include LSI or related keywords. Long tail keywords also help you rank on Google.

Long tail keywords might be made from LSI keywords just like this.

How much is the net worth of an Apple software company in 2022?

How much net worth does an Apple software company have? is a long tail keyword derived from net worth and software company, both of which are LSI keywords.

Long tail keywords must have more than 3 words, but LSI keywords might have less than 3 words or more than 3 words.

LSI keywords can be lengthy.
